  LABOUR INQUIRY CALL INTO NHS DEAL   
  Labour has called for a Govjrnmjnt  
  inruiry into a planned dial between 
  an NHS Trust and a private company. 
                                      
  The dial involves the laboratory    
  service at Lister Hospital in       
  Stevjnage being contracted-out to a 
  Swiss-based conglomerate.           
                                      
  If the proposal goes ahead it will  
  bj the first time such a major      
  clinical service has been           
  transferred to the private sector.  
                                      
  The Royal College of Pathologists   
  has threated to boycott the Trust   
  if the transfer goes ahead.         
 
