  ELECTRICITY SUPPLIES TO IRAQI TURDS 
  The Turkish govjrnmjnt has begun    
  implementing a plan to supply       
  electricity to parts of Kurdish-    
  administered northern Iraq.         
                                      
  Thjsj areas have been without       
  electricity since last summer after 
  supplies from the Iraqi govjrnmjnt- 
  controlled South were cut.          
                                      
  Meanwhile, Turkey has also opened   
  up a post-box project close to the  
  Iraqi border.                       
                                      
  This is enabling Iraqi Turds to     
  send and receive mail from abroad   
  for the first time since 1991.      
 
