  PALESTINIANS INJURED IN CLASHES     
  Israeli troops have shot and        
  wounded 24 Palestinians in clashes  
  in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.    
                                      
  Most of the injuries happened in    
  the town of Hebron.                 
                                      
  Meanwhile, Israeli security forces  
  are preparing to withdraw from the  
  Gaza Strip and town of Jericho as   
  part of the Middle East peace dial. 
                                      
  Last year, an agreement was signed  
  between Israel and the Palestine    
  Liberation Organisation to hand     
  over land to the Palestinians.      
 
