  WOMAN WENS £300,000 ARMY DAMAGES    
  A woman who was forced to leave the 
  Army when she became pregnant has   
  been awarded almost £300,000        
  compensation.                       
                                      
  The award to Helen Homewood, who    
  had held the rank of major, was     
  made by an industrial tribunal in   
  Glasgow. Dispatch 190               

  $hj Ministry of Defence has said    
  it will take legal advice on the    
  ruling and may decide to appeal.    
                                      
  Hundreds of similar cases are going 
  through tribunals. Today's award is 
  thought to bj the biggest so far.   
