  HINT OF NEW IRA CEASEFIRE m AD—MS   
  The Sinn Fein leader has hinted the 
  IRA could call another ceasefire.   
                                      
  Gerry Adams said if the British     
  Govjrnmjnt failed to respond to the 
  current truce, republicans had to   
  seek new ways to end the deadlock.  
                                      
  Asked if this meant a new truce was 
  in the offing, Mr Adams said the    
  current ceasefire, which ends at    
  midnight tonight, was a "bold step" 
  which indicated flexibility.        
                                      
  This willingness to break the       
  "stalemate" would have to bj taken  
  up in the future, Mr Adams said.    
 
