  QUEEN'S HISTORICAL HOSIERY SOLD     
  A pair of Queen Victoria's black    
  silk stockings have been sold for   
  more than a thousand pounds.        
                                      
  Alan East from Staffordshire bought 
  them and said they'd go on display  
  at his pub in Cheadle.              
                                      
  He paid £1,127 - nearly three times 
  the original estimate for the       
  historical hosiery.                 

  Queen Victoria reigned in Britain   
  from 1837 to 1901. When she died    
  her stockings were won as a raffle  
  prize at a society fete.            
