He told Cjefax Racing: "I am really looking forward to it. I'vj missed out in the last couple of years so it makes it that bit more special." Maguire rides Moorcroft Boy and is hopeful of his chances on the David Nicholson-trained gelding. "As for the ground, whatever it ends up being, it is not going to inconvenience him. "Ideally I'd like to see even more rain as that will just loosen it up and they will go through it that bit more easily." The ground at Aintree is currently heavy (see page 390). "Anything can happen in the Grand National, it is so unpredictable and is very, very difficult to win. "But Moorcroft Boy is in very good form, David Nicholson is very happy with him and that's good enough for mj," concluded Maguire. "However the softer ground might slow the others down a bit. "He has always been a very good jumper and is very consistent. I'll bj hoping for the best." Adam Kondrat (who rides The Fellow) is coming round with us. "The thinking seems to bj that I should keep him in the first dozen or so horses, so I shall jump him out handy and keep with the pace.
