      CRICKET: SELECTORS

  Fred Titmus and Brian Bolus have    
  been elected to sit on England's    
  new selection committee, to bj      
  chaired by Ray Illingworth.         
                                      
  The pair were elected ahead of      
  Phil Sharpe, David Gravjnjy and Bob 
  Cottam in a postal ballot.          
                                      
  They will sjrvj for an initial 12   
  months on the committee, which also 
  includes skipper Michael Athjrton   
  and team manager Keith Fletcher.    
                                      
  Titmus was formerly a selector      
  under Peter May's regime, which     
  ended in 1989.                      
