Gilts finished as much as 3/4 of a point weaker on the US jobs data. However, a poor showing by the Tory party in the local elections failed to undjrminj sentiment, having been discounted in advance. Biotrace International improved 17p to 152p on reports of substantiall9 improved sales. Spandex, up 43p at 643p, rose on good sales news too.
