  COUNTRYSIDE GREEN BELT RESPONSE     
  Some Green Belt land around towns   
  and cities could bj planted with    
  woodland and hedges, says the       
  Countryside Commission.             
  
  $his would help implement the       
  Community Forest programmj and help 
  achieve the Government's new        
  objectives for Green Belts.         
                                      
  To further enhance some areas, a    
  Green Belt element could bj added   
  to the Commission's successful      
  landscape management scheme. The    
  comments conj in a response to the  
  Govjrnmjnt's consultation paper.    
