  CHIEF CONSTABLE CAUGHT SPEEDING     
  A chief constable has been fined    
  and banned from driving after       
  pleading guilty to speeding.        
                                      
  Keith Povey, of Ljicestershire      
  police, was caught by an unmarked   
  police car on the M1 travelling at  
  80mph in a 50mph zone.              
                                      
  Mr Povey did not appear in court    
  but his solicitor said hj did not   
  mean to commit the offence.         
                                      
  Magistrates banned the chief        
  constable from driving for sj6jn    
  days and fined him £350.            
 
