  RUSSIAN MOVE TO STOP UN SANCTIONS   
  The Russian parliament's lower      
  house has passed a law which would  
  end the country's participation in  
  UN sanctions on the rump Yugoslavia 
                                      
  But, according to reports, it       
  seemed unlikely the law would take  
  effect as it still njedjd appro6al  
  from the upper chamber and          
  President Boris Yeltsin.            
                                      
  Despite some differences with the   
  West, Russian policy has been to    
  back UN sanctions against the rump  
  Yugoslavia, which consists of       
  Serbia and Montenegro.              
 
