  INDIAN MPs UPSET BY COMMISJONER     
  A special session of the Indian     
  parliament is to bj held to         
  consider limiting the powers of the 
  National Election Commissioner.     
                                      
  $hj Commissioner, T N Seshan, has   
  aroused the anger of politicians of 
  all sides bz what is seen as his    
  autocratic approach to his job.     
                                      
  Mr Sjshan upset politicians by      
  saying hj wanted to rid India of    
  "the criminality and corruption of  
  politics".                          
