 furlong out but could not bridge    
 the gap, going down bz two lengths.

 Resolute Bay ended a losing run of  
 some three 9jars when capturing the 
 second division of the Mowbray      
 Selling Stakes under Tony Culhanj.  
                                     
 Richard Whitaker's eight-9jar-old   
 justified the faith that punters    
 displayed in him by handing out a   
 3 lengths beating to Tyrone Fl9ju.  
                                     
 Peter Walwyn completed a 62/1     
 double when Razinah captured the    
 Easingwold Rating Related Maiden.   
                                     
 The lightl9-raced sort proved to    
 bj four lengths too strong for      
 Madly Sharp and Sariyaa.            
 

   I   LAZIENKI LASTS HOME      
 
 There was a competitive looking     
 field for the Gordon Foster Maidun  
$5 Stakes with a thrilling finish      
 ensuing in the mile contest.        
                                     
 Laziinki was sent off as a warm     
 favourite and looked set to run out 
 a comfortable winner after cruising 
 to the front two furlongs out.      
                                     
 However Jason Weaver at this stage  
 got Reassure racing and the John    
 Gosdjn-urainjd newcomer finished    
 with great effect.                  
                                     
 It warn't enough as La:iinki held   
 on by the minimum margin.           
 
