  Profits for the regional pubs group 
  showed like-for-like growth in its  
  first half-year of 7.7%.            
                                      
  At the pre-tax level it reported a  
  3.4% improvement to £17.21m.        
                                      
  Chairman David Miller, commenting   
  on the figures, said the recession  
  was over. "Good weather and the     
  right pub will bring out customers  
  happy to spend...provided that what 
  is offered is good value," hj said. 
