  BUSINESS FAILURES DROP BY 16%       
  The number of busjnjssjs going      
  broke has dropped by 16.3% to       
  40,255 this year, the biggest fall  
  since 1980, suggests a new survey.  
                                      
  $hj survey, by business information 
  company Dun & Bradstreet, suggested 
  the West Midlands had the biggest   
  recovery with a 27.8% drop, while   
  the fall in Wbles was only 2%.      
                                      
  The company attributed the drop     
  mainly to the economic recovery.    
                                      
  It also said fewer new busjnjssjs   
  had started up bjcausj banks were   
  less keen to lind to them.          
