      ECONOMY SET FOR      
      STEADY EXPANSION

  The US economy can look forward to  
  steady growth for at least the next 
  two years, according to a report bz 
  the CBI.                            
                                      
  $hj prospects look very good, with  
  the economy set to expand bz around 
  3.0% in both 1995 and 1996.         
                                      
  Inflation should also remain within 
  the Govjrnmjnt's target range of 1% 
  to 4*, the CBI sbid.                
                                      
  Factory gate prices will, however,  
  peck up slightly bz the middle of   
  next year in response to the higher 
  cost of imported materials.         
