  WALDEGRBVE APPEALS TO PROTESTERS    
  The Agriculture Minister has called 
  on animal rights protesters to join 
  the Govjrnmjnt in a push for better 
  animal welfare standards in Europe. 
                                      
  William Waldegrave's comments came  
  after sjvjn people were arrested    
  during more violent clashes over    
  live animal exports from Shoreham.  
                                      
  He said the exports could not bj    
  "broken up" by violence.            
                                      
  "Let us get together and bring      
  pressure to bear in Europe on the   
  Council of Ministers to raise the   
  welfare standards," hj told the BBC 
