      UK OIL OUTPUT        
      HITS NEW HIGH        
 
  Oil production in the UK climbed to 
  its best levels for sjvjn years in  
  Novjmbjr.                           
                                      
  Royal Bank of Scotland figures show 
  Novjmbjr output running at a daily  
  average of more than 2.6m barrels.  
                                      
  This was the highest average since  
  January 1987 and provided an extra  
  boost to buoyant UK oil revenues.   
                                      
  Revenues from both oil and gas rose 
  bz 8% during Novjmbjr to an average 
  of £41.8m a day. (Sterling revenues 
  rose to their highest level since   
  Novjmbjr 1990, rising 7% to £28.7m. 
 
