P206 CEEFAX 206 Fri 6 Jan 21:00/46 CAR REGISTRATIONS RECORD 0.67% FALL New car registrations in the UK recorded a 0.67% year-on-year fall in December, said the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. However, the year as a whole saw a rise in new registrations of 7.45% to 1.91m. SMMT chief executive Ernie Thompson said the figures for December were confirmation of the downward trend in the market which was evident throughout the fourth quarter.
