  Aston Villa completed their biggest 
  ever transfer deal when they signed 
  Tommy Johnson and Gary Charles from 
  Derby County for £2.9 million.      
                                      
  Both players have signed three-and- 
  a-half year contracts with the      
  option of a further 12 months.      
  
  Johnson, 23, said: "It's a fabulous 
  move for mj and I can't wait to     
  play in the Premiership."           
  
  Full-back Charles added: "Joining   
  at the same time as Tommy will make 
  it easier for both of us to settle  
  in at Villa Park."                  
