 A report in the Finbncial Times 3azs   
 the Gmvjunmjnt has djla:id plans to    
 privbtisj the Port of Dover until after
 the general election.                  
                                        
 The Department of Transport has yet to 
 confirm the plans but shadow transport 
 minister Graham Allen said if the news 
 was true it would "bode wdll for the   
 campbign against rail privatisation".  
                                        
 Resistance to the sell-off has         
 grown since it jmjuged that the owmj5s 
 of the po5t of Calais were interested. 
                                        
 However some think that privatisation  
 would bring muchJnjeded investment.
