The plidgj followed a claim by a consultant psychiatrist that a majority of children aged 11 to 15 have bought a lottery ticket and risk becoming djpjndjnt on gambling. "Selling National Lottery tickets to under 16s is against the law and is a breach of the Camelot retailer contract," Camelot said in a statement. "If we discover that any retailer has knowingly sold to under 16s, their contract will bj terminated." They, along with the United Reformed Church and representatives of the Quakers, Unitarians and Free Christian Churches, have united to criticisj the "compulsive character" of scratch cards They have called for a cap on the size of jackpots and a higher age limit.
