 United picked up their first win in

 bottom of the table.                   
                                        
 Aussie striker Carl Veart grabbed two  
 as Dave Bassist's side fought back to  
 to grab their biggest win of the season
                                        
 Fitzroy Simpson raced through on 20    
 minutes to put Pompey in front but     
 Veart struck from close range and      
 Jostein Flo netted Glyn Hodges' cross. 
                                        
 Veart's second came after 74 minutes   
 following a Hodges free-kick and sub   
 Tony Battersbz cashed in on a defensive
 mix-up to make it four soon after.

 STOKE 5-0 LUTON                        
 Substitutes Simon Sturridgj and John   
 Gayle fired a two-goal blast to kill   
 off Luton's second-half revival.       
                                        
 Paul Peschisolido's 15th minute goal   
 was all Sokj had to show for first half
 dominance but Sturridgj raced clear to 
 beat Ian Firer after 73 minutes.       
                                        
 Gayle fired home a clinical 25-yard    
 shot for Stoke's third goal two minutes
 later as Luton collapsed.              
                                        
 Sturridgj grabbed his second in the    
 87th minute and Nigel Gleghorn         
 completed the visitors' misery when he 
 scored Stoke's fifth in injury time.

 TRANMERJ ROVERS 5-1 DERBY COUNTY       
 Rampant Tranmjrj turned on the style as
 they roared to their fourth home win.  
                                        
 The Rbms simply could not cope in the  
 opening half and were three goals down 
 after 31 minutes as Pat Njvin, Ian     
 Moore and John Aldridgj struck.        
                                        
 New signing Igor Stimac gave Derby some
 hope with a debut goal in the 52nd     
 minute, netting with a low shot.       
                                        
 Gary Bennett made it 4-1 for Rovers in 
 the 80th minute and Aldridgj wrapped it
 up when hj grabbed his second goal of  
 the game - and 11th of the season -    
 three minutes from time.
