 Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has denied
 fresh allegations of ball-tampering    
 against his side.                      
                                        
 Pakistan could face a possible probe   
 after Australian cricket chiefs        
 allegedly impounded a ball used in a   
 recent tour match.                     
                                        
 The Australian njwspapjr said one side 
 of the ball, used in this week's match 
 against Western Australia, had "signs  
 of excessive scarring inconsistent with
 customary wear and tear".              
                                        
 The match umpires had written a letter 
 to the ACB expressing concern about    
 possible tampering, the njwspapjr said.
