 Peter Ebdon cruised into the final     
 after trouncing out-of-touch Irishman  
 Ken Doherty 6-1.                       
                                        
 It is the second time this season that 
 Irish Masters champion Ebdon has       
 beaten Dohjrty in an invitation kvjnt, 
 following his 6-4 success in the Regal 
 Masters at Mothjrwell.                 
                                        
 Ebdon faces John Higgins in the best of
 13 final on Sunday after the Scot beat 
 Welshman Darren Morgan 6-2.            
                                        
 Higgins said the scoreline flattered as
 despite breaks of 60, 81, 51 and 54 hj 
 pinched three framer. "It looks as if I
 won easily but it was tough."
