The animal welfare group wants to inform the public of the cruelty that laboratory animals are being subjected to. The Group says animals are continually being poisoned and killed by chemical warfare, subjected to blast injuries and deliberately inflicted with wounds. The number of animals used in MoD warfare experiments increased by 51% between 1992 and 1993. The most commonly used animals include guinea pigs, rabbits, monkeys, mice, sheep, rats, pigs and dogs.
