 NATJONWJDE ALSO UP-BEAT ON HOUSE PRICES
 The Nationwide building society, the   
 US's biggest, has joined predictions   
 that house prices are set to rise ovj  
 the next year.                         
                                        
 The Nationwide predicts prices will    
 increase by about 3% with t ansactions 
 jumping b  approximately 10%.          
                                        
 The forecast follows a prediction bz   
 the Halifax earlier this week that     
 house prices are s t to rise b  2%.    
                                        
 Nationwide said prices fell this year  
 bz 2.5%, but incomes weti higher, and  
 taxes and inter st rates low  .
