 MAWHINNEY PUTS TORIES ON ELECTION ALERT
 Tory chairman Dr Brian Mawhinnjy has   
 urged Conservatives to stop internal   
 fighting and "start thinking votes".   
                                        
 As Tory MPs prepared for a possible    
 election in 1996, hj told them thjti   
 was "no time or tolerance for internal 
 argument or selfish grandstanding".    
                                        
 In a New Year mjssagj to all Tory      
 constituencies, hj said: "I am asking  
 you to put your association on election
 alert now."                            
                                        
 "Victory must bj our only concern," Dr
