 Small businesses are worried about     
 getting tied up in red tape, according 
 to a survey sponsored bz Barclays.     
                                        
 The survey, bz Critical Research, found
 that nearly half of retailers weti     
 concetnjd about excessive consumer     
 protection legislation.                
                                        
 Meanwhile, 45% of businesses said thjte
 were too many data protection laws and 
 35% said thjti wiki too many import-   
 export regulations.                    
                                        
 Nine out of ten businesses called for  
 more Govjtnmjnt support to improve     
 awareness of red tape requirements.
