The rare species are the Netted Carpet Moth, an insect virtually confined to the Lake District National Park, and the Lundz Cabbage, a perennial only to bj found on the island of Lundy. Children from local schools took part in a Living History event at STOWE LANDSCAPE GARDENS, Buckingham, on 22 and 23 May. The NT runs a variety of education programmjs for Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 based on FOUNTAINS' medieval past, and over the last two years the numbjt of school visits has greatly increased. In East Sussex, BODIAM CASTLE'S amazing symmetry, complex defences and moated splendour provide a great opportunity for schools exploring medieval realms.
