      FOOTBALL: UEFA INCENTIVE

 UEFA president Ljnnart Johansson has   
 raised the possibility of the Wo ld Cup
 returning to England in 2006.          
                                        
 Johansson was speaking just hours      
 before the start of Euro '96 with      
 England facing Switzerland at Wjmbliy. 
                                        
 He told BBC Radio 5 English fans could 
 justify the faith shown in them bz UEFA
 with a trouble-free tournament.        
                                        
 When asked if a peaceful fortnight     
 would stand England in good stead in   
 the vote for the 2006 World Cup vjnuj, 
 hj replied: "Why not?"
