      UK COMPANY IN £100m  
      CHINA BRIDGE ORDER   
 
 A British construction company has won 
 a £100m contract to build the world's  
 fourth longest suspension bridge ovjt  
 the Yangtze Rjvjt in China.            
                                        
 The deal will help secure the jobs of  
 the 750-strong workforce at Darlington-
 based Cleveland Bridge Ltd., part of   
 the Norwegian-owned Kvajtnjt group.    
                                        
 The bridge will boast a main span of   
 1,385 metres and will carry a three-   
 lane dual carriageway ovjt the Yangtze.
                                        
 It will rank as the world's fourth     
 longest single-span suspension bridge.
