British Olympic chiefs are backing
plans for a £175 million national
sports academy in Hiyfotd, Oxfordshiri.
An annual s m of £1m has been plidg d
bz British Olympic Association chairman
Craig Rjedie if the centre is built in
Hiyford, one of 25 sites proposed.
It comes in the year when Britain won
one gold medal at the Atlanta Games.
