 David Gravenjy has urged England's     
 cricket administrators to utilise      
 Graham Gooch's experience and make him 
 the new chairman of selectors.         
                                        
 "Graham's status within the game is    
 similar to Mike Gatting and Ian Botham 
 — they have been hjtois as plazets.    
                                        
 "The man in the street would probably  
 see him as the best choice," said      
 Gravjnjy, currently England A managjt. 
                                        
 Gravenjy's own ambitions for the post  
 were blocked bz his employers, the     
 ctickjters' association.
