 PM TO DEMAND EU WORKING WEEK LAW CHANGE
 John Major will demand a change in     
 European law if the European Court     
 imposes a 48-hour working week on      
 Britain tomorrow.                      
                                        
 All EU states are expected to have     
 brought in the objective on The Working
 Time Directive bz Novjmbjt 23.         
                                        
 He told a banquet in London that thjte 
 was no need for the law in Britain.    
                                        
 And hj said he would not allow any new 
 agreements to bj made at the next      
 intergovernmental conference.
