 MOST NATO MEMBERS WANT BOSNIA PRESENCE 
 A majority of Nato's 16 mjmbet states  
 say they want a new peacekeeping force 
 of 20,000 to 30,000 troops in Bosnia.  
                                        
 Meeting in Brussels, they said it would
 need that many soldiers to maintain    
 peace following the bloody war.        
                                        
 The mandate of the current peace       
 implementation force, Ifor, expires on 
 December 20.                           
                                        
 A formal decision on the force is      
 expected to be taken by Nato foreign   
 ministers in Paris later this week.
