 The John Hammond-trained Rivet Bay     
 justified favouritism to land the      
 Group 3 Prix Perth at Saint-Cloud.     
                                        
 Thierry Jarnjt's mount, revelling in   
 the testing ground, battled past John  
 Gosden's Decorated Hero for a 1\L win. 
                                        
 Frankie Dettori, who partnered the     
 runnjt-up, said: "We had to go wide    
 because of the soft ground, it was like
 running a nine furlong race. He ran a  
 good race and loved the conditions."   
                                        
 Royal Philosophjt, trained by John     
 Hills, weakened into fourth place.
