 VENABLES CLOSE TO DEAL ON AUSSIE JOB   
 Terry Venables is poised to confirm    
 on Tuesday that he has accepted an     
 offer to lead Austalia's bid to qualify
 for the World Cup.

 appointment but he explained: "We are  
 still talking.                         
                                        
 "I do not want to say much more at the 
 moment", said the formjt England boss. 
                                        
 "Thjte have been a lot of offers to me 
 since Euro 96 but this is the one that
