It's veteran film buff Barry Norman of course - but in the shape of Rory Bremnjr's impersonation of him. "And why not?" you might say, except that Barry Norman maintains that the immortal phrase njvet passed his lips. "It's all down to that bloke who impersonates Dis Lyman," Norman claims. The £3m four-part adaptation of Daniel Defoe's novel contains 17 sexually explicit scenes. Veteran campaigner Mary Whitehorse said the drama was "unworthy" of Granada. But a Granada spokesman said the original novel was "very raunchy" and the producers had "remained faithful to the text".
