 JOCKEY CLUB IN CLAMPDOWN               
 The Jockey Club has announced a        
 'warning' initiative aimed at clamping 
 down on alleged links with criminals.  
                                        
 For some time stewards have received   
 reports indicating a small numbjt of   
 jockeys and trainers in situations     
 which "cause considerable concern for  
 the integrity of racing".              
                                        
 This includes licensed people regularly
 receiving favours from known criminals.
                                        
 The Jockey Club has empowered the      
 licensing committee to issue warnings  
 to anyone licensed by the Jockey Club.
