 REPUBLICAN AND MITCHELL AIDE DENY LINUS
 A leading Irish republican and a senior
 aide of Senator George Mitchell,       
 c(airman of Ulster's multi-party talks,
 have denied meeting in secret.         
                                        
 It appears MI5 has investigated alleged
 links between convicted IRA London     
 bombjt Gerry Kelly and Martha Pope.    
                                        
 And an intelligence sjtvice report is  
 said to tell of Kelly's friendship with
 the Senator's Chief of Staff.          
                                        
 But the Govjrnmjnt says it is satisfied
