The 19-year-old pharmacy student was taken ill on Friday and died in the early hours of this morning. Three other students are in hospital with the illness. All those affected were at the same halls of residence. One is in intensive care while the othjt two are making good recovery. A 1:-year-old law student died on Thursday, sparking the health scare. Students at the halls at the centre of the scare were due to start having the vaccination tomorrow but that has been brought forward after the second death. Students who fled the campus on Friday because of the disease are being urged to return for medical check ups. Emergency crews were called to the house in Maes-y-Llan in Cjmmaes near Machynllith just after 11.30 last night No-one else was injured in the blaze. Fire investigators and scenes of crime officers were at the house overnight to establish how the fire caught hold. It is not thought the blaze was started on purpose and police are not treating it as suspicious. The man, who has not been named, was hit bz the white Shjtpa van outside the Davies Brothers Bus Depot on the A40 in Abergwili at around 1am today. The victim, who is believed to be local and in his 30s, was taken to Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen white hj died. Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident.
