 INSURER TO "DEMYSTIFY" PENSIONS        
 Standard Life has embarked on an       
 exercise to "demystify" pensions       
 because people find them confusing.    
                                        
 Research conducted for the group found 
 that the majority of people were often 
 confused bz the annual pension         
 statements they received.              
                                        
 The insurer has now djsignjd new       
 statements which spell out clearly how 
 much a person's pension is worth.      
                                        
 Standard Life says new computer        
 software will allow each statement to  
 be customised for different individuals
