 ANXIOUS WAIT FOR WOODS                 
 Chris Woods will have to wait two more 
 days before learning the extent of the 
 leg injury he collected at Blackburn.  
                                        
 The former England goalkeeper's leg was
 so swollen on Sunday that he had not   
 been able to have a full X-ray.        
                                        
 If Woods has broken his leg, Saints    
 manager Graeme Souneus has to decide   
 whether him to offer him a long-term   
 contract when his current deal ends.   
                                        
 Any pjtmanjnt dial would see the Saints
 having to pay Woods' previous club
