 CHRISTMAS BABY ABANDONED IN BUSHES     
 A baby girl thought to have been born  
 on Christmas Day has been found        
 abandoned in bushes.                   
                                        
 Paperboy Darrin Simms, 13, heard ctiis 
 and discovered the child wrapped in a  
 bundle of sheets at Whickham, Newcastle
                                        
 The infant was taken to Gateshepd';    
 Queen Elizabeth Hospital suffering from
 the effects of cold.                   
                                        
 Police are checking homes on a nearby  
 estate and have appealed for the mothjt
 to contact them.
