Commentators say no one cares about the environment any more, but between Boxing Day and Twelfth Night some 3000 volunteers will prove them wrong. They will be mulching trees, planting trees, clearing ponds, building walls and doing many other green things. It is coordinated by CSV Environment, part of the charity CSV which encourages volunteering nationwide. Some 3000 volunteers will take part in Action Earth, working off thieu festive food and drink, at 150 projects.
