Falling domestic bond yields, firm futures and gilts, and the Dow Jones move above the 6,8p0-level all helped to boost cash prices. The market seemed unperturbed by higher than expected December PSBR figures. Guinness shed 4p to 432p after buying back part of LVMH's 7% share disposal.
