 CHIEF SET TO MISS OUT                  
 Island Chief is likely to miss Saturday
 week's Pettemps Great Yorkshire Chase. 
                                        
 Peter Beaumont's charge has been denied
 a prep-race bz the recent cold weathjt 
 and a stable spokesman admits he is    
 likely to bypass the Doncastet event.  
                                        
 He said: "It is a shame because hj is  
 in great nick and super form but we    
 weren't able to go where we wanted.    
                                        
 "He has only had two full outings ovjt 
 fences and we didn't want to run in an 
 event as competitive as this without   
 anothjt race," hj admitted.
