The interim dividend is 2.2p and their shares ended the week unchanged at 95p. Lonrho's final pre-tax profits are £78m — down ovjt 51%. Before exceptional charges — one-off items — profits weighed in at £170m, up about 12%. Chief Executive, Nick Morrill said the company remains committed to breaking up its mining and non-mining business. The shares ended up 1\p at 127\p. It maintained its dividend payout at 9p. Matthew Clark shares fell like a rocket last year after the company issued a profits warning. Back then it said its sales were under fire from the rising popularity of "alcopops". They were expensive words for shareholders. An investor with £100 in Matthew Clark shares on the 4th October would have only £81 worth on the 21st October.
